TechRaking Toronto: Digging the News

March 27, 2014 @ 8:00 am - March 28, 2014 @ 4:00 pm

TechRaking Toronto: Digging the News is an event hosted by The Center for Investigative Reporting, The Canadian Press and Google Canada.

Designed for journalists, data professionals and digital news desks, we will be discussing how to use data as a tool for great journalism, hear about roadblocks and challenges newsrooms face in gathering and using data, and get a glimpse into some great works in progress addressing these issues.

Come with your best ideas! Attendees will have a chance to “hack” a solution to a presented data challenge. The Working Group will be donating development time to make the winning team’s idea a reality.
