“I started #smallrooms because I noted that, while being an entrepreneur is popular these days, two key things were lacking in the overall narrative.
First was an appreciation for the whole entrepreneurship experience. It may seem cool, but it’s very difficult to navigate money, advice, finding customers, knowing what to build, etc.
Second, there is a decided lack of information available – I mean practical information – easily accessible to all entrepreneurs. Finding out answers to basic questions is tough: do I give equity to an advisor? Do I go fundraising NOW or LATER? Should I avoid fundraising altogether?
I was also fed up with the constant focus on the same, successful people who have the benefit of hindsight. I wanted to get into the trenches with the people going through the process of figuring out a technology company in realtime.”
